Sasuke lives for one reason only, to avenge his families death. Sasuke is very popular with the girls, and has a “don’t annoy me” type of attitude, perfect for being a main character. He is the top graduate of his year, and one of the top genin of that generation. He is very good with his many fire jutsu and his very powerful bloodline doujutsu, sharingan.

Sakura is a sweet girl on the outside, but total opposite in the inside. She has a huge crush on Sasuke, and will do anything to get to him. A lot of the time, she sees herself as “in the way” or “a hindrance”. Later on, she goes through a drastic change to help her team.

Biography He is the Jounin, elite ninja, of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. It is said that he is the hardest teacher of all the jounin. He has a split personality, and he is ALWAYS late, but, there is something very special about him. All over the country, he is known as “The Copy Ninja Kakashi” and for a good reason too. His sharingan allows him to copy his opponents techniques. His only original technique is an assassinating technique he calls “Viking” which will later be named “chidori” or “A thousand chirping birds” because as soon as he draws out his charka, this technique has the unique sound as the name describes. Biography
Gaara is the youngest son of the Forth Kazekage, thus having Temari and Kankuro as his older siblings. Because of Sunagakura's weakened state, the Forth Kazekage ordered one of Suna's elders, Chiyo, to use a possession jutsu to seal the Ichibi Shukaku into Gaara. Because of this possession, Gaara's mother, Kurura, dies awhile gaving birth. Before she dies, Karura cursed suna, hoping Gaara would avenge her death.

Biography
Aburame Shino is a cool, collected, confident Chûnin from Naruto's graduating year who is quite mysterious and always wears sunglasses. He is portrayed as being somewhere between being merely stoic and matter-of-fact, but behind his reserved demeanor, Shino places a lot of value on his friends and teamwork, but he also has a tendency of holding grudges. As a part of Aburame clan tradition, Shino was infused with a special type of insects that feed on his chakra at birth. In return, the insects attack and do other tasks as he commands. It is believed that Shino is the heir to the Aburame clan.

Biography Daughter and heiress to the Hyūga clan, Hinata is a terminally shy and soft-spoken, yet tough and resolute, Chūnin-level taijutsu user, from Yuhi Kurenai's Team 8. As a member of the Hyūga clan, she possesses the Byakugan, and specialises in the Jūken, or "Gentle Fist", fighting style. This means that her field of vision is almost 360° and she is able to damage her opponent's chakra circulatory system and inner organs directly with even a slight tap. Since she is the main house's elder child, Hinata is supposed to be the heir to the clan; however, because her father deemed her a lost cause in her early teens - apparently of even lesser skill than her younger sister, Hanabi, and not even comparable to her cousin Neji - and thus he left her in the care of Yūhi Kurenai when she became Hinata's sensei, stating he didn't care if Hinata died on a mission.

Biography
Inuzuka Kiba is a loud and boisterous Chūnin, originally from Yūhi Kurenai's team 8. He's from Konohagakure's Inuzuka family, known for their use of Ninken (忍犬, "Nin-dogs") in battle, and has an almost symbiotic relation with his ninken Akamaru - they are even able to communicate with each other, allowing Kiba to gain information from Akamaru's heightened senses of smell and hearing. Kiba and his team members, Hyūga Hinata and Aburame Shino, are highly specialised in tracking and survival; Kiba's and Akamaru's heightened senses, combined with Hinata's Byakugan and Shino's Kikaichū (Destruction Bugs), make their team an excellent tracking team. Kiba watches out for Hinata in a manner reminiscent of an older brother.

Biography Yamanaka Ino is a Chūnin assigned to Sarutobi Asuma's Team 10. She is a very skilled kunoichi and with her teammates, Nara Shikamaru and Akimichi Choji, they make up the 2nd-generation Ino-Shika-Cho Trio. At first, it seemed as though Ino disliked both Shikamaru and Chōji (Shikamaru for being dull and unpopular and Chōji for being fat), but she actually holds a strong bond with both of them. Ino is the daughter of Yamanaka Inoichi and part of the Yamanaka family, who owns a small flower shop in Konoha. She is talented in the way of the flower (Ikebana) as well as mind-altering jutsu. She is the friendly rival of Haruno Sakura. As one of the 'Rookie Nine', Chōji became a Genin in the same year as Uzumaki Naruto. Together with Nara Shikamaru and Yamanaka Ino, he was assigned to Sarutobi Asuma's Team 10. Chōji, Shikamaru and Ino call themselves the "Ino-Shika-Chō Trio", just like their fathers before them.

Biography
Shikamaru is a lazy, easy-going genius who was promoted to Chūnin level after the Chūnin Exam Arc. He is from a family of shadow manipulators and deer herders. His main technique is Kagemane no Jutsu (Shadow Imitation Technique). Later in the series, his father teaches him his second jutsu, Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu (Shadow Neck Bind Technique ), an extension of his first technique.

Biography Originally a Genin level ninja who graduated the academy a year before Naruto did and now a Chūnin, Tenten is a student of Maito Gai together with Rock Lee and Hyūga Neji. She has an incredibly accurate aim when throwing weapons, being able to hit ten out of ten targets. The use of "'ten' out of 'ten'" as an example is probably a fairly obvious pun derived from her name. Not much is known about her techniques, other than that she masters the use of dozens of various types of weapons in battle by raining them on her opponent. Furthermore, she is an expert in the use of melee armaments and summons these special melee weapons with her own blood when needed. She also uses what may be chakra strings to control and guide the direction of her weapons.
